“Freight from China to UAE – Simple Guide
Located between Europe and the Far East, the United Arab Emirates has played a vital role in helping it develop into a global business hub, with Dubai being the focal point for much of the region’s economic activity and trade. But if you shy away from the idea of shipping from the Far East to the Middle East by air or sea because of high costs or customs complexities, help is at hand.
Sea Shipping from China to UAE
Less than Container Load (LCL): LCL shipping means your cargo will gain space in a shared container that can carry other shippers’ cargo. The advantage is that you only pay for the space the cargo takes up, not the entire container. If you plan to ship small shipments from China to the UAE, LCL shipping may be the most affordable option.
Full Container Container (FCL): Full container shipping means paying a flat rate for the rental and transportation of a sea container from China to the UAE exclusively for your use. This can be cheaper than LCL, especially if you are transporting large, heavy loads.
Air transit time
Despite its small territory, the UAE has seven international airports that connect the country with the rest of the world. Needless to say, China has more than 50 international airports and is one of the busiest in the world. Many international cargo airlines are connecting China and the UAE with direct flights. Emirates Cargo, based at Al Maktub International Airport, offers daily flights to the Chinese cities of Dalian, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Etihad Cargo also closely links the two countries.
It takes up to 10 hours to ship your cargo from China to the UAE by air, door to door. You have to calculate the total transfer time of your item from the supplier’s office to your address, which takes about 7 days, by normal air freight. If it’s not fast enough, please ask for express air freight (express) to receive your product within 4 days.
